Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Staff Specialist (Consultant Psychiatrist) to join our Adult Mental Health Services team at Townsville University Hospital.
Opportunities are available within Adult Community Mental Health Teams and as a Holiday Reliever, providing variety, flexibility and exposure to a broad range of clinical settings across a large and progressive regional health service.

About the Role
In this role, you will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist psychiatric services within Adult Mental Health Services.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based assessment, treatment and recovery-focused care across community and inpatient settings, while supporting service innovation and clinical excellence.
The role offers opportunities to combine meaningful clinical practice with teaching, supervision and research activities.
About You
You will possess:
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent specialist qualifications recognised by the College
- Current registration with, or eligibility for registration as, a Specialist Psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia
Experience and/or interest in Adult Psychiatry - A commitment to collaborative, recovery-oriented and patient-centred care
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across a variety of clinical settings
