- Consultant Psychiatrists - Independent Medical Assessor
Description
mlcoa is the premier national provider of Independent Medical Reports and Advisory Services to the insurance industry (workers compensation and motor vehicle accidents), corporate arena, employers, veterans, law firms, federal and state government departments.
mlcoa engages Consultant Psychiatrists as part-time independent contractors to provide their expert medical opinions in a written report format to our clients. This requires the review of the examinee's medical history, a face to face (or telehealth) examination and assessment, followed by the provision of a detailed unbiased report.
Your opinion will represent insightful, evidence-based medical advice that empowers our clients to make informed claims decisions around causation, treatment needs, fitness to work, disability and permanent impairment to achieve better health outcomes for sick and injured people.
To support our team of medical experts, mlcoa provides contemporary fully equipped consulting suites in every capital city and 16 regional areas across Australia, including full administration support. If preferred, Psychiatrists may choose to provide their independent medical assessment services from their own private rooms or via telehealth.
This is a non-treating role. You can choose your own schedule to align with your clinical work. There is also the opportunity to consult interstate if you desire to do so.
Induction:
With over 35 years experience, mlcoa supports Psychiatrists who are new to this arena with an industry-specific, personalised training and induction plan.
